1) What is your favorite color? I grew up with two brothers who are colored deficient and now have two sons that are color deficient as well. I have a particular appreciation for colors and have a hard time picking just one since I have spent my younger years describing colors to my brothers and now do it as a mother. I would have to say that all of them are my favorite.
2) The funniest/creative excuse a child has given for not doing their school work? My little brother puked on it.....I told him I was glad he decided not to do it.
3) What is your favorite television show and/or book? Any show on Food Network and The Sing Off. My favorite book is any that I am reading to or with my kids.
4) Do you like something sweet or something salty? Sweet + Salty=Mmmmm
5) If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, expenses paid, where would you go? Anywhere as long as I am with my family.

2) What is the funniest or most creative excuse a student has given for not doing their work? I actually had a child tell me he could not do his homework one night because his mom had to get her hair done at the mall! But then this year, I also had a child bring in a paper (which was all torn into pieces) with a note from his mom about the old cliché of the dog eating the homework, and how it had finally come true!
3) What is your favorite TV show and/or book? TV show - "Castle" Book - Any "Alex Cross" book by James Patterson
4) Do you like something sweet or salty? I like Salty, but my doctor doesn't like me to have either. :)
5) If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go? I would love to take a trip to Ireland. I'd like to see some old ruins of castles up close and personal.

Thank You PES & CS Teacher Appreciation Week Committee's

Take 5...With Michelle Clayton - PES - Reading Specialist
1) What is your favorite Color? I love all bright colors but blue usually ends up being my favorite.
2) What is the funniest or most creative excuse a student has given for not doing their work? The funniest excuse for not doing homework is when students blame their mother. (We even get blamed for that.) My Mom threw it away... My Mom said I had to go to my brother's game so I didn't have to do it.... My Mom lost it....
3) What is your favorite TV show and/or book? My favorite TV show is The Big Bang. I also watch a lot of shows on Nat Geo, the History Channel, & Smithsonian channel when I watch TV. I really don't watch very much. My favorite book is harder to pin down, but it is probably The Hobbit which I first read a long, long, time ago in High School. It lead to my interest in the genre of Science Fiction Fantasy.
4) Do you like something sweet or salty? I am definitely partial to sweets. I love candy...all kinds...can't live without it.
5) If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go? If I could go anywhere it would be to see ancient ruins in Cambodia or Machu Pichu in Peru. I find pictures of these place absolutely fascinating.

Take Five With...Lynn Murray
Take 5...With Lynn Murray - PES - Secretary
1) What is your favorite Color? Today it is blue. Next week it might be coral. I'm like a chameleon.
2) What is the funniest or most creative excuse a student has given for not doing their work? A student came to me because his gym shoe had fallen apart. The sole separated from the top. I got out my duct tape and basically re made his shoe. Good to go! Then 2 days later he came back in for me to fix the same shoe again. I got the duct tape out again and told him not to wear the shoes to school again. :)
3) What is your favorite TV show and/or book? Harry Potter series. Divergent Series. Hunger Games. Any fiction. I am always reading. Television...Greys Anatomy, The Voice, Survivor.
4) Do you like something sweet or salty? Anything chocolate
